Friday evening at 19:41 Clayton along with Ladder and Engine Station 44 were dispatched for the residental structure fire at 90 Gravelly Run Branch Road in Providence Crossing. Command 45 with Deputy Chief Jeff Lightcap arrived to find a 2 story single family dwelling with a smoke condition in the interior. Engine 45 w/5, Captain Brian Hunter arrived behind the chief secured a water supply and stretched the handline. Quint 45 w/4, Captain Alex Carrow and Ladder 44 arrived together and took the 1st due and 2nd due Special Services respectively. Squad 45 w/5, Firefighter Jason Sacco took the second due Engine assignment and Engine 44-3 took the 3rd due Engine assignment. Crews located an extinquished fire on the stove top. The engine crews checked for extension while the ladders handled the searches and ventilation. Units were back in service in about 30 minutes after clearing smoke from the residence.
